How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments must be booked online. For urgent or emergency situations, please email us at denver@hk-diplo.de. We do not accept phone calls.
How long does it take to receive my passport?
Processing depends on your case, document checks and the responsible authority. Ask the office for current guidance before planning travel. An appointment does not guarantee a document delivery date.
Can I apply for both a temporary and biometric passport?
Yes, if you have urgent travel needs, you can apply for both a temporary passport and a biometric passport at the same time. You can travel with the temporary passport and exchange it for the biometric passport upon returning to the U.S.
What should I do if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Due to high demand for passport appointments, please reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 3 days in advance to free up the slot for other applicants.
What happens if I don’t bring all the necessary documents to my appointment?
If you fail to bring all required documentation, you will need to reschedule your appointment. Incomplete or inadequate materials will result in us being unable to proceed with your application.
